Win- Betting your horse will come in first place.
Place-Betting your horse will come in first or second.
Show- Betting your horse will come in first, second, or third.
Betting on multiple horses in a single bet
Exacta- Betting on two horses to come in first and second. Must be predicted in correct order.
Quinella-Betting on two horses to come in first and second. Can be in any order as long as the two horses you pick finish in top two spots.
Trifecta-Betting on three horses to come in first, second, and third. Must be predicted in exact order.
Superfecta-Betting on four horses to come in first, second, third and fourth. Must be predicted in exact order.
